Sammy Linebaugh reporting Morning commuters from the south end of the valley ran into a little more stop and go, thanks to new ramp meters at a couple more northbound on-ramps.

This morning it caused longer delays for commuters trying to get onto I-15, but once they were on the freeway, it was actually smoother sailing. UDOT officials say that's the idea.

90th south, 106th south and 123rd south, the Draper exit: They all now have a metered on-ramp system that will operate during morning commute hours. Of course we're used to having meters at other on ramps, like 72-hundred south, the difference with these new ones, cars go two at a time, instead of just one car. Signs are posted, so it should be clear. UDOT officials say a little patience will go a long way.
