LEHI -- A suspicious package forced the closure of a portion of state Route 92 in Lehi Thursday night.
After conducting an investigation, a bomb squad determined its contents were harmless.
Utah County dispatchers say the package was found around 8:00 Thursday night. They say law enforcement officials quickly shut down SR 92 from I-15 east to Triumph Boulevard and waited for the bomb squad to arrive.
The suspicious package ended up being a blue and white Igloo cooler that was filled with wires and cylinders and had a timing device inside.
A bomb squad robot determined it was nothing more than a concrete temperature reading device.
SR 92 was reopened around 10 p.m.
