ST. GEORGE -- Detectives say a letter circulating in Southern Utah is a fraud.
Several business owners have contacted St. George police recently, saying they received a paper designed to look like an invoice for advertising in a phone book.
The letter has a realistic Yellow Pages logo and requests payment -- the difference is the logo is upside down, and company name is fake.
Detectives say the paper comes from Victoria Malta, on a small island near Italy. They say none of the recipients have paid the invoice.
If you have been targeted, St. George police ask that you give them a call at 435-634-5000.
