SALT LAKE CITY -- A 5-year-old boy was hit by a car as he tried to cross State Street in Salt Lake City Friday afternoon.
Police say the boy was in a crosswalk at 1500 South when he was hit. An older brother was walking behind him but was not hurt.
The boy was taken to the hospital with some bumps and bruises.
The driver of the car was cited for failing to yield at a crosswalk.
