TAYLORSVILLE -- Formal charges are now filed against two men accused of robbing a Taylorsville bank last week.
The Deseret News reports Darryl Fox, 42, and Leon Wallace, 54, are facing federal charges in connection with the robbery at a Key Bank. They've been charged with one count each of bank robbery.
According to court documents, one of the men entered the bank Aug. 5 and handed a teller a note demanding she put money in a bag.
She did -- along with a dye pack -- and the man left the bank, getting into a car driven by his accomplice.
The two were found when they were spotted by another motorist who saw them throw money stained with dye out of one of the car's windows. The witness got a good description of the suspect's vehicle and the license plate and called police.
A Unified police officer spotted the vehicle in the area of North Temple and 1950 West. Officers with Taylorsville police, Salt Lake police, the Joint Criminal Apprehension Team and FBI agents surrounded the motel and evacuated several rooms before arresting two suspects around 6 p.m.
