WEST VALLEY CITY - A family of seven escaped a fast-moving fire at a mobile home park in West Valley City.
Crews arrived early Monday morning at the mobile home in the 3900 West block of Regency Park Drive but say the structure already was engulfed in flames.
Capt. Joe White with the West Valley Fire Department says, "Trailer fires usually burn very hot and quick because of the type of construction they are."
The family of five adults and two children made it out of the mobile home safely. One of the adults was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Crews say the home is a complete loss. Two nearby vehicles also were damaged.
No word on what caused the fire.
