SALT LAKE CITY -- Salt Lake City police arrested two known gang members Thursday night in connection with a murder that happened just more than a year ago.
Krystal Flores was shot and killed last July. The 22-year-old was with family members outside at a house party in Glendale when members of a gang went to the wrong house looking for rival gang members.
"In this case, Krystal was not a gang member, and her family was not affiliated with gangs. So this was a true innocent victim in this case, and it was a mistaken address," said Salt Lake City police Sgt. Robin Snyder.
Police say they have arrested two major players in that gang: Shannon Moala and Pailate Lomu. Both face felony charges ranging from homicide to obstruction of justice.
Investigators say there are others involved in the homicide case and expect to make more arrests soon.
