SALT LAKE CITY -- A 19-year-old man is in jail after police officers say they caught him driving a stolen sports car.
An officer with the Joint Criminal Apprehension Team saw the silver Corvette heading east on Interstate 80 around 11 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle matched the description of a stolen car from Park City.
Officers from several agencies followed the Corvette into a neighborhood in the 1900 East block of Jeremy Drive in Murray. The driver didn't notice.
Sgt. Saul Bailey of the Joint Criminal Apprehension Team says, "The driver pulled into a driveway to make a U-turn. Once he did that he was effectively boxed in by an unmarked vehicle."
Police arrested Nathan Diggins for possession of a stolen vehicle.
