RIVERTON -- Five children were able to escape a house fire near 2000 West and 13700 West in Riverton Monday.
Firefighters arrived to the house just after 10 a.m. to find heavy smoke and flames coming from an attached garage and spreading to the house.
A neighbor saw the fire and was able to get five children, ranging in age from 6 to 14, out of the house safely.
Early damage estimates are around $70,000, but there is still no word on a cause.
