(KSL News) A West Valley City man accused of beating his girlfriend's son to death has been found guilty.
Adam Jeppson claims four-year-old Carson Williams died last October from injuries suffered in a tricycle crash.
Prosecutors insisted Jeppson brutally beat Carson, then made up the story to cover the crime. A medical examination showed the boy died of blunt force injuries and swelling of the brain.
After a three-day trial, a jury found Jeppson guilty of negligent homicide. He'll be sentenced in December.
