SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A one-year-old girl is in the hospital this morning after she walked away from her parents at a Murray store and was hit by a truck.
Police say the girl was apparently in Deseret Industries with her parents last night when she wandered away for a second.
Officers say the parents started to look immediately for the girl. However, the toddler managed to walked out of the store, out of the parking lot and onto 4500 South, when she was hit by the pickup.
The incident is under investigation. However, police say it doesn't appear the parents were neglectful.
