SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Scientists say a magnitude 2.7 earthquake felt in parts of the Salt Lake valley was followed 30 seconds later by another jolt.
The University of Utah Seismograph Stations says both shocks originated two miles west of Bluffdale starting at 10:58 a.m. Thursday.
The seismograph lab says the magnitude 2.7 and 2.5 quakes were felt for up to about 20 miles from the epicenter.
Seismologists say both quakes broke about six miles deep. There were no reports of damage.
Bluffdale is about 20 miles south of Salt Lake City.
