SALT LAKE CITY -- The NCAA will no longer accept credit from Brigham Young University's online high school courses.

The move is part of new NCAA rules that require "regular access and interaction" between teachers and students to strengthen eligibility standards for potential college athletes.

BYU's Independent Study program offers more than 300 accredited online courses and has been credited for its role in helping athletes like Michael Oher, who inspired the movie "The Blind Side."
