OREM, Utah (AP) -- A Utah County resident is asking Orem city planners for permission to bring in some new neighbors.

Plans for two female pygmy goats are still in limbo, though. The Urban City Planning Commission voted 3-3 last week on a proposed zoning change to allow the goats, which usually weigh in between 50-70 pounds.

Planning Commissioner Dave Stroud says the goats' residency will be taken up again at a City Council meeting June 22.

According to the National Pygmy Goat Association, the breed of goat was imported from Cameroon in the 1950s, originally as zoo animals.
