ANTELOPE ISLAND, Utah (AP) -- A beach pavilion, an access ramp to the Buffalo Point observation deck and heart defibrillators at the Fielding-Garr Ranch House are a few of the improvements coming to Antelope Island this spring.

Other improvements include an effort by the Utah Antique Farm Machinery Association to restore two mechanical sheep-shearing arms at the historic ranch house.

Boy Scouts and other service groups will also be volunteering their time to help out with several projects over the next few weeks to make the island ready for an increasing amount of visitors this spring.
