SALT LAKE CITY -- Dozens of volunteers spent a day on the farm Tuesday in honor of National Preservation Month.

The volunteers worked side by side with staff at Salt Lake's Wheeler Farm at 6351 S. 900 East to help preserve the original image of the turn-of-the-century farmhouse.

The 75-acre farm was placed on the Utah State and National Registers of Historic Places in 1976.

Tuesday's effort was part of Hampton Hotels' Save-A-Landmark program, which also donated $10,000 toward future refurbishments.
