SALT LAKE CITY (KSL News Services) – Universities across America and their professors are now using electronic communication to teach their classes and stay in touch with students.

Some say that is leaving students like Chaz Motor, who doesn’t have internet access away from school, at a disadvantage. ”It’s definitely kind of a pain having to run up here to do internet work,” he says.

University of Utah professor Dahveed Keehada says professors and the universities need to evaluate how much online access they require. “Once you make electronic media a requirement in your courses, it immediately makes discrepancies in education.”
