(KSL News) -- The Salt Lake County Sheriff's department responded to a call for back-up today, to aide the deputies along the Gulf Coast.
The National Sheriff's Association needs supplies for deputies in Louisiana and Mississippi. So with the help of a local radio station, the Sheriff's department is sending two 18-wheeler trucks at 8:00 tonight.
The trucks will go to Mississippi to a multi-agency staging area where police officers from Utah and Colorado are waiting to take the materials to the outlying police stations.
