FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) -- A plea bargain in the case against a Davis School District educator may be close to a resolution.
Authorities say 48-year-old Kathryn Louise Parmley, a speech and language pathologist, is charged with two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a 16- or 17-year-old. She's accused of engaging in sexual activity with a 17-year-old boy several times between September 2005 and July 2006.
Yesterday, Parmley's attorney told the judge talks are underway with prosecutors, but says there's been no final agreement. However, the defense says it expects a settlement may be reached soon.
