SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Questar Gas is seeking another rate hike this year that would cost the typical household another 11-dollars a month.

Questar says it needs the rate hike to offset the higher cost of the natural gas it buys from producers.

The utility filed its request with the Utah Public Service Commission, which approved a similar rate hike June 1.

If the PSC approves this request, Utah households will pay about 28 percent more for natural gas this winter over last winter, less than increases faced by many other regions of the country.
