(Odgen) ..."with the 48th pick in the 7th round, the Detroit Lions select Tim Toone, wide receiver, Weber State University. ..." . With that pronouncement the 5-10, 175 senior wide receiver from Peoria, Arizona becomes the 255th and last pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Toone becomes "MR. IRRELEVANT" and becomes the second player in Weber State football history to have that distinction. In 1998 tight end Cam Quayle earned the same title with the Baltimore Ravens. Below is Toone's Weber State time line and attached are his year-by-year (game by game) stats and career stats in PDF.

Career Highlights...

* Signed with Weber State in February of 2003 by Head Coach Jerry Graybeal from Peoria HS where he had 37 catches for 1,125 yards in 2002 setting a state record for Most Yard Per Catch at 30.40 his senior season.

* Left to serve a two-year LDS (Mormon) Church Mission to West Africa before attending Weber State

* Came back and red-shirted the 2005 season under new head coach Ron McBride

* Had just seven catches in 2006 as a red-shirt freshman, but averaged an eye-popping 39.30 yards per catch. ... Four of his seven receptions were 44 yards or longer.

* Had four 100+ yard receiving games in 2007 with three of them coming in the last four games. ... Was one of three players in the Big Sky to have 10 TD receptions. ... Earned Honorable Mention All-Big Sky Honors. ... Tied the WSU school record for Most TD Catches in a single game with four (6 catches / 128 yards) at home vs. Sacramento State.

* In his junior season in 2008, he helped the Wildcats to a 10-4 record overall and a 7-1 mark in Big Sky play. WSU tied Montana for the Conference crown but earned the automatic berth by virtue of a 45-28 win over the Grizzlies. It was WSU's first Big Sky football title since 1968 and only the 3rd time the Wildcats earned a playoff berth.

* Had 84 receptions for a WSU, and Big Sky Conference single season record 1,525 yards in 2008 and had seven TD receptions. ... Had 10 catches, for 199 yards and one TD in WSU's 49-35 win at #3 ranked Cal Poly in the opening round of the NCAA Division I FCS playoffs. ... Had seven 100+-yard receiving games. ... Named Second Team All-America by The Sports Network and First Team All-Big Sky Conference.

*Had 83 receptions for 1,109 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2009 with four 100+ yard receiving games. ... Once again his big game came against Cal Poly with 11 catches for 176 yards and three touchdowns in the final regular season game. ... Helped the Wildcats to an 8-4 record overall and a 6-2 mark in Big Sky Conference play. ... For the second straight year the Wildcats earned a berth into the NCAA Division I FCS playoffs. ... Named First Team All-America by The Sports Network and First Team All-Big Sky as a RECEIVER and RETURN SPECIALIST.

*In 2009, he led NCAA Division I FCS in PUNT RETURN YARD AVERAGE with 19 returns for 378 yards and two touchdowns (19.89 ypr.). ... His 95-yard return for a touchdown vs. Sacramento State was the longest punt return for a TD in the Nation and is the longest ever in Big Sky Conference history. ... He also had a 90-yard return for a TD in a blinding snowstorm at home vs. Northern Arizona.

* Leaves Weber State tied (206) for the Most Career Receptions, Career leader in Receiving Yards (3,607) Career TD Receptions (29). ... Had 39 career punt returns for 566 yards (14.51 ypr) and three touchdowns. Those three TDs tied the WSU school record for Most Punt Return TDs in a career. ... His 4,499 career All-Purpose Yards are the 3rd most in WSU school history ...He is tied for 7th in Big Sky Conference history in RECEPTIONS and is 4th in RECEIVING YARDS.

*He is a three-time member of the Big Sky Conference Football All-Academic team majoring in Athletic Training (Therapy).
