Retiring Utah general receives top honors

CAMP WILLIAMS -- A major general with Utah's National Guard received top honors Saturday.

At his retirement ceremony, Maj. Gen. Patrick Wilson was given the Army Distinguished Service Medal. It's the second highest peacetime award for the U.S. Army.

The Richfield native has completed a 34-year military career during which he served as platoon leader, battery commander and executive officer -- to name a few.
