(Salt Lake City-AP) -- The numbers are out, and it looks like viewers chose Elizabeth Smart over Jessica Lynch by a narrow margin.
15-point-seven viewers watched the made-for-TV movie last night on CBS about Elizabeth Smart as the victim of a bizarre kidnapping. That compares to 14-point-nine percent who watched the made-for-TV movie about hero prisoner of war Jessica Lynch.
The final Nielsen ratings will be released Tuesday but Smart's ratings are expected to hold.
But NBC isn't calling it a defeat. "Saving Jessica Lynch" was the network's best rated TV movie among viewers aged 18 to 49 since "Growing Up Brady" in May of 2000.
