CITY CREEK CANYON -- Heavy rescue teams rescued a stranded hiker in City Creek Canyon Wednesday afternoon.
Micheal Holden, of Salt Lake City, says he was hiking when he got stuck on a cliff and used his cell phone to call for help.
"I just went climbing along the ridge, and I got somewhere where I couldn't get back down; and instead of jumping off and breaking my leg, I called these guys," Holden said.
A lead climber actually climbed up above Holden, lowered a harness and safely lowered him to the ground.
Rescue crews say this is a good reminder why you should never hike alone.
