(KSL News) -- Remembering a life cut short, family and friends celebrated 17-year-old Lauren Mulkey today. She was killed Sunday when a distracted driver ran a red light, hitting her car.

More than 100 people dressed in bright colors honored Mulkey. Memories of Mulkey, photos, her clothes, favorite foods, and flowers filled Gardner Hall.

She graduated early from East High and was attending classes at Westminster College. A scholarship has been set up at the college in her memory.
