OGDEN -- A woman is recovering after suffering a gunshot wound in Ogden early Monday morning.

Police were called to a home on Stephens Avenue just after 4:30 a.m. on several reports of shots being fired. When they arrived, they found the 26-year-old woman on the front porch.

"She was there visiting friends," said Lt. Danielle Croyle of the Ogden Police Department. "She is from the Layton area and was up just hanging out with friends in that area."

Police say they are familiar with the house and have served warrants there before.

They say the shooting is likely gang related.

Officers are now looking for suspects but say witnesses are not cooperating with the investigation.
