SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Former President George W. Bush strategist Karl Rove will campaign on behalf of Utah Sen. Bob Bennett later this month while he's in town for his 40th high school reunion.
Rove will speak at an Aug. 28 event open to state Republican delegates at the Grand America Hotel and at a private reception for Bennett donors who contribute a yet-to-be-determined amount.
Rove graduated from Olympus High School in Holladay and attended the University of Utah.
Bennett, who is seeking a fourth term, is facing opposition from several Republican challengers, including Attorney General Mark Shurtleff.
