SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch spoke out against the fundraising tactics of his own political party Sunday.
Hatch told NBC's "Meet the Press" he was ashamed the Republican National Committee created a presentation that calls for the "demonization" of Democrats and the president.
The presentation, which featured President Obama dressed as "The Joker" and Nancy Pelosi as Cruella De Vil, was given to potential fundraisers in Florida last month.
Hatch said there was no excuse for it and it shouldn't have happened.
He joins other Republican leaders in criticizing the pitch.
