Olympic gold medalist and LPGA Hall of Famer Lydia Ko moved to within a shot of the lead with a 5-under 67 after two rounds of the HSBC Women's World Championship. The South Korean-born New Zealander has a two-round total of 6-under 138 on the Tanjong course at Sentosa Golf Club. First-round leader A Lim Kim held the lead after 36 holes with a 69 Friday. The steady Ko hit 11 of 14 fairways and 16 of 17 greens in regulation in her bogey-free round. Charley Hull of England (70) was tied for third with Hyo Joo Kim (66), two shots off the lead.

LeBron James had 33 points and 17 rebounds and the Los Angeles Lakers won their fourth straight game, holding off the Minnesota Timberwolves 111-102 on Thursday night. Austin Reeves added 23 points and Luka Doncic had 21 points and 13 rebounds to help the Lakers improve to 14-3 since Jan. 21. Terrence Shannon Jr. led Minnesota with a career-high 25 points. The Timberwolves have dropped three of four and five of seven. The Timberwolves were able to rally back despite Anthony Edwards being ejected in the third quarter after picking up his second technical foul. Edwards threw the ball into the stands after being ejected. If both technical fouls are upheld, he will be suspended one game for picking up 16 technicals this season.
Barbashev's 4-point night helps Golden Knights hold off Blackhawks 7-5

The Golden Knights increased their Pacific Division lead to four points over Edmonton. They have won four of their past five games. Chicago has lost four consecutive games, but the Blackhawks got within a goal midway through the third period after trailing 5-1 through one.

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has been suspended one game without pay by the NBA after picking up his 16th technical foul of the season during the third quarter against the Los Angeles Lakers. Edwards, who vowed last month that he wouldn't get any more technicals, was called for two of them Thursday night and automatically ejected. He will sit out Friday when the Timberwolves visit the Utah Jazz. NBA rules state a player receives a one-game suspension after picking up 16 technical fouls in a season. For every two additional technicals, the suspension will increase by one game.

Argentina youth international Claudio Echeverri has completed his permanent move to Manchester City more than a year after signing for the English champion. The 19-year-old Echeverri will add more youthful energy to an ailing City squad which was freshened in the winter transfer window with the arrival of five mostly young players. The 30-year-old Kimmich has played more than 400 games for Bayern since joining as a 20-year-old from Leipzig in 2015. Oklahoma's fans yapped at Kentucky's Otega Oweh all game long, but the ex-Sooner guard made the final statement. He scored a career-high 28 points and banked in an off-balance floater with six seconds remaining for the winner against his former team as No. 17 Kentucky beat Oklahoma 83-82 on Wednesday night. Oweh was booed loudly during introductions and throughout the game. At one point, Oklahoma students chanted "He's a traitor" while Oweh stood at the free-throw line. But he scored Kentucky's final 18 points, seemingly feeding off the energy.
