SALT LAKE CITY — Sunday marks Father’s Day, which has been celebrated nationally since the 1970s.
While many of us are running around trying to find a card at the last moment, here’s a list of places dad can treat himself to free goodies or deals, as well as events this weekend.
Even Stevens
Fathers receive unlimited free french toast on Sunday at all Evens Steven locations. Each location is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Even Stevens has eight locations across Utah. Click here for a complete list of locations.
Firehouse Subs
Patrons who show this coupon can receive a free medium sub with the purchase an additional full-price medium or large sub, chips and drink valid at locations on Sunday. The company has 13 locations across the state. Click here for a complete list of locations.
Kneaders
Fathers receive free Chunky Cinnamon French Toast all at Kneaders locations on Saturday with the purchase of an entree, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for those dining at the store. Kneaders has 21 locations located through the state. Click here for a complete list of locations.
Pilot Flying J
The truck stop chain is offering a free cup of coffee of any size to fathers from Friday through Sunday through the use of the myPilot App. Pilot Flying J has locations all over Utah. Click here for a complete list of locations.
Show & Shine Car, Truck & Off Road Show
The third annual event includes live music, vendors, drinks and a raffle, and also promises “a day of sunshine and really cool vehicles to look at,” according to an event Facebook page. It begins 10 a.m. at Duck Creek Village in Kane County and runs through 4 p.m.
Snowbird Father’s Day Bed & BBQ
Snowbird offers a weekend deal that includes room accommodations, live music, a tram ride and ends with an all-you-can-eat barbecue on Sunday. Prices start at $109 per adult.

Fathers can get a free donut hole from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday while their children play with Marshall the dog mascot at the cafe, which is located at 1538 E. 3300 South in Millcreek. Father’s Day crafts will be available in the cafe and the event is free with entrance.

Fathers can receive a free 6 oz. frozen yogurt in celebration of Father’s Day on Sunday. The frozen yogurt company has an open location in Sugar House, 2274 S. 1300 E., on Sunday.
