SALT LAKE CITY — A 46-year-old woman is dead after a single-vehicle rollover crash early Sunday morning on an I-15 on-ramp, officials said.
At about 5:45 a.m. Sunday, a white Saturn sedan rolled after striking a barricade on the on-ramp from 900 South to I-15 southbound, Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Andy Battenfield said.
A 46-year-old Midvale woman, later identified by officials as Christine Zaragoza, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected after the car rolled, Battenfield said. Zaragoza was the only person in the car, and she died after the crash, he said.
He said the ramp from 900 South to I-15 southbound would be closed for most of the morning as crews investigated the crash scene. The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
There were no signs of alcohol or drugs in the car, UHP officials reported via the agency's website.
