WEST VALLEY CITY — The Utah Highway Patrol has identified a woman killed in a car crash Thursday on state Route 201.

The crash, which occurred near the interchange to Bangerter Highway, took place after a vehicle with a flat tire stopped in the left lane, near an onramp.

A statement from UHP says Tiffany Smith, 42, of Murray, had gotten out of a Chevy Malibu and was standing near the back of her car when she was hit by a Honda Odyssey.

The driver of the Honda is cooperating with authorities, UHP said. No one else was in the Malibu.

UHP said eastbound traffic was closed for more than two hours Thursday for crews to investigate and clean up the crash.
