RIVER HEIGHTS, Cache County — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a Wyoming man last seen in northern Utah Wednesday.

Kyle Ryan Burton, 18, of Lovell, Wyoming, was last seen in the River Heights/Logan area about 9:45 a.m. on foot and is believed to be without a coat or phone, according to Cache County Sheriff’s detective Brian Groves.

He was reported missing Wednesday night. Groves said Burton's family is assisting search efforts with horses and outdoor equipment. Sheriff's deputies were also passing out flyers and going door-to-door to see if they could gather more information on Burton's whereabouts.

Groves said Burton is known to spend time outdoors, especially in local canyons.

Burton is described as 5-foot-10 and 210 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair. He has a surgery scar on his left knee and is also described as shy but friendly. He was last seeing blue jeans, a T-shirt and black Adidas shoes.

Anyone with information about Burton’s whereabouts is encouraged to call Groves at 435-755-1146 or Cache County dispatch at 435-753-7555.
