GARDEN CITY, Rich County — An outage that affected nearly 9,000 people in northeast Utah, southeast Idaho and southwest Wyoming has been resolved as of Sunday morning, Rocky Mountain Power spokeswoman Tiffany Erickson said.

The cause of that outage was still being investigated, she said.

Only two people were still without power in southeast Idaho, according to the company’s website.

Also on Sunday morning, more than 1,000 people were without power for about 90 minutes in South Salt Lake, according to the website.

The outage was affecting about 1,463 people in the 84115 zip code and was reported at about 6 a.m. Sunday.

By 7:30 a.m., most people had power restored, and the outage was only affecting 121 people, according to the RMP website.

A downed power line near 2250 S. State Street was the cause of the outage, Erickson said.

RMP officials were estimating the outage would be fully resolved by 9 a.m. Sunday.
