WEST VALLEY CITY — A man and a woman are dead after an early-morning shooting Sunday, police said.
Police arrived at a residence at 3171 S. Ivy Park Drive, at around 5 a.m., West Valley Police Lt. Jeff Conger said. The bodies of Miraheta Skender, 49, and Samir Skender, 51, were found and pronounced dead at the scene.
An adult daughter who lived in the home with the couple called police to report gunshots, Conger said. At least one weapon was recovered at the scene, he added.
Later on Sunday afternoon, police officials said they were investigating the shooting as a murder-suicide.
