SALT LAKE CITY — A man is dead after a car crash at a busy intersection in Sugar House Saturday night.
At about 9:46 p.m., police received a call reporting an accident, said Salt Lake Police Lt. Scott Smalley. When officers arrived at the scene, they spoke to several witnesses and learned a 41-year-old man was driving eastbound on 2100 South when he collided with a silver Subaru Impreza at 1100 East.
The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The occupants in the Impreza, a driver and a passenger, were unharmed.
Police have not released the deceased man’s identity pending family notification.
Investigators are looking into the crash to determine the cause.
