WEIRD CITY — Utah is well-known for its beautiful landscapes, but the Beehive State is also home to a fair amount of beautiful buildings and more than a few strange ones (shout out to the Price City public works buildings).

Fortunately (or unfortunately, if you love all things weird), none of Utah's structures make the list for having the weirdest architecture in the world. That list is filled with several of the buildings featured in this video by everyone's favorite friendly YouTuber and young adult novelist, John Green.

In the latest episode of Mental Floss, a weekly series where "knowledge junkies get their fix of trivia-tastic information," Green shares 41 interesting facts about unique, bizarre and crazy buildings for all the architecture (and other) nerds out there.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

From buildings shaped like baskets to ones that are designed completely upside down, the designs are fascinating. Even the biggest architecture junkies are bound to learn a few new facts.

Enjoy the video and then share with us in the comments which of the featured buildings is your favorite. It was pretty hard for me to choose, but I think my favorite is the Winchester Mansion, which was built with fake doors and secret passageways in order to "confuse ghosts." But the dog-shaped bed-and-breakfast is fun, too.
