1. Police shooting in SLC foot chase ruled justified
A Salt Lake City police officer was legally justified when he shot a man during a foot chase in October, the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office announced Friday.
Salt Lake City police officers responded to a report of trespassing in Salt Lake City on Oct. 1, 2016. When they arrived, a man who matched the description of the reported trespasser began walking away from them.
2. Roy foster parents arrested for abusing 3 sons, police say
A husband and wife who have been licensed to provide foster care in Utah since 2013 have been arrested for investigation of abusing their sons.
Matthew Earl Waldmiller, 40, and his wife, 41-year-old Diane Seifert Waldmiller, were each booked into the Weber County Jail for investigation of two counts of intentionally inflicting serious physical injury on a child, according to jail records.

4. Health improving for Utah woman injured in London terror attack
A Utah woman injured during a terror attack in London last week continued her recovery in a hospital Sunday, a family spokesman said. He also announced her family plans on speaking publicly for the first time Monday.
5. Firefighters save pets from burning home in South Jordan
A house near 11800 South and 4000 West caught fire Sunday afternoon while the homeowners were away. Firefighters were able to find and revive two dogs inside the home.
