SALT LAKE CITY — On a hot summer day, what’s better than a nice, cold glass of soda.

Sure, a glass of water is healthier. But the sweet taste of a cold soda is satisfying for many this time of year —or any time.

Utahns sure love their sodas. The Beehive State has various soda shops from Logan to St. George, with many of them having special signature soda flavors.

In this poll, we’ll be asking you to vote on which local soda shop is the best in Utah. Some of the shops include local favorites and perhaps unknown soda gems. Click on the store name to get information on shop locations, hours and the menu.

And the nominees are:

Sodalicious ===========

One of the more recognized soda shops, Sodalicious opened in 2013 and has been treating Utahns with delicious soda from American Fork to Provo. Some of their soda flavors include the “Rocky Mountain High,” “Funky Cold Medina” and “Selfie.”

Swig n’ Sweets ==============

With locations from Logan to St. George, Swig n’ Sweets is one of Utah’s most famous soda shops. Some their soda flavors include the “Big Al,” “Candy Girl” and “Missionary.”

Straws ======

A Midvale favorite, Straws offers sodas, smoothies, ice cream, shakes and homemade cookies.

Bev’s Hot and Cold Beverages ============================

Bev’s offers a great range of flavors for all. Some of the specialty drinks offered include “The Sarah Special,” “Brown Cow” and “Happy Pappy.”

Pop'nSweets ===========

With locations from Salt Lake City to Cedar City, Pop'nSweets offers a variety of flavors of bottled soda, candies from around the world and ice cream floats.

[PopShop

PopShop has some of the most humorously named specialty soda drinks around, not to mention delicious. Some of the menu items include the “You’re Not The Boss of Me,” “50 Shades of Cray Cray” and “That’s What She Said.”

Eli's Old Fashioned Ice Cream & Soda Shop =========================================

Eli’s in Payson offers sodas and ice cream with a throwback flare. Eli’s also offers sandwiches, hot dogs and cookies.

FiiZ Drinks ===========

The shop with the most locations in the state, FiiZ is one of the most recognizable names in the Utah soda shop business. FiiZ flavors include “Drama Queen,” “Threat Level Midnight” and “Orange Cream FiiZ.”

Soda Crazy featuring Italian Ice ================================

Italian ice is the name of the game at Soda Crazy, with tasty flavors like raspberry, sour apple, root beer, horchata, “Choc A Tella” and “Tiger’s Blood.”

There's no wrong answer. Vote now and tell us which is Utah's best local soda place.
