EMOTIONAL TOWN — Having a baby is an exciting and terrifying time. You're so excited about adding a new addition to the family, but also nervous for everything that comes with it.
When my wife told me she was pregnant with our first, my reaction was less than ideal. It was a bit of a blur, but I think all I said was "Huh," over and over again. I was excited, but I was also scared out of my mind.
While my reaction wasn't what my wife or even I was hoping for, this guy nailed it.
For his birthday, this wife surprised him with a pregnancy test announcing the upcoming arrival. This husband quickly transformed from bewilderment to emotional basket case.
I'm not going to get after this guy, because I know how he feels. No, I didn't get totally emotional, but becoming a parent is a humbling experience that causes the best of us to break down in tears of joy.
