HERRIMAN — Three Herriman teens encountered a rare and unexpected surprise Friday, when a nearby deer allowed them to approach it and even pet it before following them around for several moments.
Crystal Shelley, also of Herriman, was on her way to work when she saw the friendly encounter and pulled out her camera to capture it. The deer seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the attention, so much so that it even followed the kids as they walked away.
Given that deer typically bolt at the mere sight of a human being, this was a sweet moment indeed for all parties involved.
