Sam Penrod Reporting The woman accused of killing her boss to cover up that she stole thousands of dollars is headed to prison.

It has been more than four years since Mina Pajela was murdered and finally, the woman suspected of killing her is on her way to prison, but still she has never admitted any involvement in the shooting.

Kerri Fae Brown became a suspect in the murder when it was discovered she had embezzled 40- thousand dollars from her boss. But the murder case was a tough one to prove, so prosecutors settled on a plea bargain to a manslaughter charge, which Brown pleaded 'no contest' to.

Still, prosecutors believe that if Brown did not pull the trigger, she knows who did and has refused to talk about the crime to anyone.

Sherry Ragan, Prosecutor: "She's never expressed any remorse, I'm not sure she's taken any responsibility. At some point we're hoping she will make a statement to explain what happened, both for the benefit of whether or not someone else is involved and also for the benefit of the daughter of the victim, so she know what happened exactly and what her motivations were."

Before handing down the maximum sentence of two consecutive one to 15 prison terms, the judge called the case a "sad chapter in the history of this community."

Kerri Brown herself said only, "There's nothing I can say to change what happened."

However, prosecutors say that until Brown takes responsibility, it is unlikely that the Board of Pardons will consider giving her parole. That means that unless she talks, she could spend up to 30 years in prison for this crime.
