WEST VALLEY CITY — Police arrested a man accused of biting his ex-girlfriend during a fight and calling her more than 100 times despite a protective order.
Aaron Michael Lloyd, 38, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail Sunday for investigation of assault, domestic violence in the presence of children, and 109 felony counts of violating a protective order.
On Sunday, West Valley police were called to a residence near 3800 West and 3400 South after several people reported hearing a woman yell, "Help me," according to a jail report.
The woman told officers that she has had a protective order against Lloyd, who is the father of her child, for a few months, though she admitted they have had "on and off" contact, the report states.
On Sunday, the woman said Lloyd was at her house and they got into an argument. The woman took his phone and asked "about the dubious contents of his phone" and refused to give it back, the report states.
The argument then escalated into a fight. After shoving the woman to the ground, the woman used pepper spray on Lloyd, who responded by "blindly (grabbing) ahold of the victim and (biting) her on the front of her torso near the right shoulder," according to the report.
The responding officer looked at the woman's phone, which contained the prior eight days of call history. During that time, Lloyd had called her more than 100 times, and he called four times while the officer was interviewing the woman, the report states.
