1. Teams recover body of 2nd missing canoer at Strawberry Reservoir

Teams recovered the body of 26-year-old Chenoa Plank from Sugar House, confirming that both she and her boyfriend, 24-year-old Benjamin Magalis, of Goodhue, Minnesota, died after their canoe capsized at Strawberry Reservoir.

2. Woman assaulted while playing organ at Centerville church

A person allegedly broke into a Centerville church Saturday evening and assaulted a 71-year-old woman who was playing the organ, police said.

3. 10-year-old injured in West Jordan auto-pedestrian accident

A 10-year-old boy was flown to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City after he was hit by a van while crossing a street near 5662 W. 8200 South in West Jordan Saturday evening.

4. Nearly 100K pounds of ground beef recalled following inspection at Utah facility

Swift Beef Co. on Saturday issued a recall of nearly 100,000 pounds of raw beef recently processed at its northern Utah facility.

5. N. Ogden mayor killed in Afghanistan remembered as a 'true patriot'

Maj. Brent R. Taylor, a Utah National Guardsman and North Ogden mayor killed while deployed in Afghanistan, was celebrated and remembered Saturday at a public funeral at Weber State University's Dee Events Center.

1. Utah clinches Pac-12 South Division title

Utah football has clinched the Pac-12 South Division title and will be going to their first-ever championship game since joining the conference in 2011.

2. Weber State in historic territory with back-to-back Big Sky titles, No. 2 seed in FCS Playoffs

Weber State will open the 2018 Football Championship Subdivision playoffs as the No. 2 overall seed Dec. 1 at Stewart Stadium in Ogden.

3. Katoa scores 4 TDs, BYU bowl-eligible after 45-10 win over New Mexico State in home finale

Lopini Katoa scored four touchdowns, and Matt Hadley added two more on the ground to help BYU overcome a slow start and cruise to a 45-10 win over New Mexico State to clinch bowl-eligibility late Saturday night in the Cougars’ home finale.

4. No. 14 Utah State survives on Colorado State penalty

Collin Hill's apparent 34-yard touchdown pass to Preston Williams with no time left was negated by penalty, allowing No. 14 Utah State to escape with a 29-24 victory Saturday in a wild, stunning finish to a game played in snow and freezing rain.

5. Coach's son Noah Kjar helps deliver Corner Canyon's 1st football title, 31-14 over Skyridge

Kjar had three catches for 73 yards and two touchdowns, and Corner Canyon held off a spirited Skyridge rally twice to pull away for the first state football title in the six-year history of the school, 31-14 in the Class 5A championship at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
