WEST POINT — Authorities are investigating an emergency plane landing Friday evening.
Shortly before 8 p.m., officials responded to an emergency landing near 1800 N. 4300 West, according to Davis County Police Sgt. Deann Servey. Officials learned a man in his late 50s was flying a Cirrus — a single engine plane — from Las Vegas to Ogden when the plane lost oil pressure and was forced make an emergency landing.
The pilot found a field and was able to successfully land the plane, Servey said.
The pilot, who officials did not identify, was not injured in the emergency landing and did not have other passengers on the plane. Servey said the pilot is a resident of Nevada.
The FAA and crime lab officials are investigating the incident.
