SOUTH OGDEN — Police are searching for three men after they allegedly assaulted a pharmacist and robbed a Walgreens on Wednesday.

South Ogden police received reports of a robbery at the Walgreens on 3600 South and Riverdale Road around 9:30 p.m. Three men entered the pharmacy and one acted as a lookout while the other two jumped the counter and assaulted the pharmacist, police said.

The men forced open a locked cabinet and stole some prescription medications, police said. They also forced the pharmacist to open the cash register and they left with an undisclosed amount of money.

One of the men was described as a white male around 20 years old, around 5 feet 10 inches with a thin build. He had sideburns and wore a gray jacket, blue jeans and a light-colored baseball hat. The hat had a Hurley symbol on it.

One of the other robbers was described as a black male also in his early 20s and around 6 feet tall. He had short hair and was unshaven. He wore a dark hoodie and light-colored camouflage pants.

The last robber involved was described as a black male in his mid-20s, around 6 feet tall and heavyset. He had short hair and was wearing a white or gray jacket with a 1-inch stripe running down both sleeves.

Police said the pharmacist did not require medical attention after the assault. The robbers were described as being violent, brazen and methodical, and police said they believe these men have experience in robbing pharmacies.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call South Ogden police at 801-629-8221.
