THE DEEP — I was once playing dodgeball with some strangers and my brothers. It was the Clyde boys versus a group of much faster, agile and in-shape young men. If you're curious the answer is, yes, this was only like two years ago.
Anyway, in that game I did the coolest thing I've ever done. My oldest brother Dave was on the ground and a 16-year-old kid had that ball in his hand and was cocked and ready to destroy my big bro. The kid unleashed and somehow everything went into slow motion.
I saw the ball headed for Dave's face and he was helpless, nowhere to go. I threw the ball in my hand and right before the ball smashed into Dave's nose, my ball knocked the offending orb right out of the way, into the unknown.
Actually it just went about 5 feet, but it was awesome. Dave and I just stared at one another in awe. I am not up to speed on the lingo of the youths, but reaching back into my bag of tricks, it was the most baller thing I'd ever done and/or likely ever will do.
But this video reminds both me and my brother Dave that while what I did was ridiculous (and we lost that game anyway), this guy shows us what baller really means.
In the video, a group of divers are swimming with a big great white shark. Then this mammoth fish heads straight for the man filming.
The shark gets right up into this guy's face, and I mean right up in there. Does the guy panic, try to get out of the way or just accept his fate as dinner? No, he calmly reaches out, places his hand on the shark's nose and redirects him another way.
As if he's saying, "Not today buddy. GO snack on something over there."
More Have You Seen This?
I mean, it's hard to believe this video or that this guy exists. Keep in mind, people, the most amazing thing I did was throwing a ball to intercept another ball moving at a fairly slow speed. This guy booped a freaking great white shark on the nose and basically told it "scat!" like a stray cat in his backyard.
What I'm getting at is I want this guy on my dodgeball team.
