SALT LAKE CITY — Police apprehended a person in connection with 27 burglaries in 20 days in the Sugar House and Liberty Wells area Thursday.

Six of the burglaries occurred Tuesday while the rest happened sometime in earlier March, according to a tweet from the Salt Lake City Police Department.

The burglaries occurred primarily on weekdays during daytime hours at homes and apartments, the tweet said. The burglar often entered the house by breaking a back window, kicking in a door or using a doggy door.

"If you live in this area please check your homes and outbuildings for missing property and report it to police," the Salt Lake City Police Department said in another tweet.

The identity of the person police arrested has not yet been released.
