DUCHESNE — Two men died after a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 191 south of Duchesne on Friday morning, officials said.

About 9:30 a.m. Friday, a 1992 Ford Ranger was driving south on Highway 191 about eight miles south of Duchesne in Indian Canyon, Utah Highway Patrol officials said on the agency’s website.

A 2014 Coach motorhome was driving north in the same area when the Ford crossed the center line, colliding head-on with the motorhome, officials said.

The drivers in both vehicles, both male, were declared dead at the scene. A female passenger in the motorhome was transported via a medical hospital to Utah Valley Hospital in critical condition, officials said.

The driver of the Ford was in his early 40s, and the driver of the motorhome was in his 60s, officials said. The age of the woman was not released.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash to determine why the Ford crossed into oncoming traffic. The highway was closed while officials processed and cleaned up the crash scene.

Officials did not release the names of the two men who died because they were still notifying family members.
