SOUTH JORDAN — A Silver Alert was canceled Wednesday after an 83-year-old man with Alzheimer’s disease was found safe. The man had been missing since Tuesday evening, police said.

Gerald Joseph Vincent was last seen about 9 p.m. near 4099 W. Donibristle Road (9880 South) in South Jordan, according to a news release from the Utah Criminal Justice Information System.

He was found safe shortly after the Silver Alert was issued on Wednesday morning, South Jordan Police Lt. Matt Pennington said.
